Predict the final podium of the year

The final Grand Prix of 2011 is upon us and so far only seven drivers have stood on the podium this year, tying the record for the lowest number ever.

They are Sebastian Vettel, Mark Webber, Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, Vitaly Petrov and Nick Heidfeld.

Amazingly neither of the Mercedes drivers have been up there and nor has Felipe Massa.

Will that still be the case on Sunday or will one of those faces or a new face appear on the podium, especially is we get one of those rain affected Brazilian classics?

And what does it say about the competitive balance within F1 that the top five drivers have so dominated the season?

As a final competition of the season, we are asking you to predict the three names who will be standing on the podium on Sunday.

The first three correct answers – posted in the comments section below before 2pm Brazil time on Sunday when the race starts – will win a signed copy of the JA on F1 2011 season review book “Vettel Steals the Show”.

The book is a 240 page large format softback which looks back at the stories of the season and analyses the races in detail. Signed copies can be bought from this site for £9-99.

The competition is open to anyone anywhere in the world to enter. But you can only enter once!!

Hidesight is 100% accurate.

Webber to win, cos vettel has an issue.

Vettel to be second, even without all his gears

Button to be third, giving one back to Alonso who showed him by overtaking him round the outsdide. Stunning move.

I’m playing the team order card and Massa to shine during the race assuming rain at some point during the race as he had a strong drive in Canada.

James, two things that would be brilliant for your site…

Get the developer to put the comments box immediately after the end of the article… It’s a pain to have to scroll down to tO the bottom of the page like that.

A castrol predictor type fantasy f1 game…. Have been using the castrol one this year and found it brilliant fun for spicing up race weekends
