McLaren and TAG Heuer have announced a new partnership which sees the watchmaker extend its commitment to the British team. Speaking at the Geneva Motor Show, TAG Heuer president and CEO Jean-Christophe Babin and executive chairman of the McLaren Group Ron Dennis said that the watchmaker would continue to supply the official timepiece to the Formula 1 team. The Monaco Grand Prix’s reputation as the most glamorous stop on the Formula 1 calendar is as long-established as the sport itself and for this year TAG Heuer, sponsor of the blue riband race and the McLaren team, pulled out all the stops in celebration of the race weekend. The McLaren Technology Centre hosted a celebration last night of TAG Heuer’s 25th anniversary as a sponsor of the McLaren team. And today they announced an extension to one of sport’s longest sponsorship deals. From McLaren’s side Lewis Hamilton Martin Whitmarsh and Ron Dennis were there, from TAG Heuer’s side, CEO Jean-Christophe Babin and Honorary Chairman Jack Heuer.
