A unique collection of sought-after Formula 1 memorabilia and experiences, including Ayrton Senna’s racing gloves from his 1991 championship-winning year and Jenson Button’s race seat from this year’s Australian GP, are to be auctioned off in the New Year to raise money for the Grand Prix Mechanics Charitable Trust. After a season in which they dominated the opposition, some items donated by Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber will go under the hammer tomorrow (December 1st) in a Bonhams sale at Mercedes Benz World, Surrey, England. There is one item from almost every 2011 Grand Prix race, with the exception of Abu Dhabi. Today we are launching a new feature on the JA on F1 website – an online auction to raise money for the Grand Prix Mechanics Trust. I’m delighted to say that the first item we have under the hammer is a signed set of F1 racing overalls from one of the fans’ favourite drivers, Kamui Kobayashi.
