You should know, however, that we will not allow comments containing profanities or ad hominem attacks (abusive language and attacks on individuals, etc). That is why for the time being, we will be monitoring contributions before they are published.  For the moment,  we may also be restricting “pings” and the publication of links.

If you find your comment has been shortened it is likely that you strayed too far off the topic of the discussion thread.

Note that you can now “reply” to a comment if you want to address a point made by another correspondent.
