Mercedes this morning rolled out the Silver Arrow W05 that it hopes will be shooting for victory this season. Toro Rosso

Toro Rosso have launched their first car to be powered by a Renault engine with a reveal of the STR9 in the Jerez pit lane. The new car will be driven by Jean-Eric Vergne and rookie Daniil Kvyat, who replaced Daniel Ricciardo after the Australian moved to Red Bull. The STR9 features a nose similar to that on the McLaren and Sauber and retains its traditional colours and livery. Sauber has unveiled its 2014 challenger, the C33, with the team’s Chief Designer Eric Gandelin saying a key element in the design process has been to build a car that can be adapted throughout the upcoming season. Revealed in an online launch, the new car, which will once again feature Ferrari power, sports a nosecone solution similar to that seen on the McLaren MP4/29 and in the early images of the new Williams machine. With comprehensive regulation changes leading to radically different machinery for 2014, Ferrari Technical Director James Allison has targeted reliability as the key target for the team’s F14 T, which was launched this afternoon. Mercedes have given their 2014 car its first run at a cold but dry Silverstone. The Brackley-based team used one of their allocated filming days, which are allowed under testing restrictions, to give the W05 a shakedown with Nico Rosberg at the wheel. The car completed 40km on demonstration tyres. It will get its first proper run out at the first pre-season test in Jerez, which starts on Tuesday. Lotus have revealed images of their 2014 challenger – the E22 – just hours after announcing the Gerard Lopez would replace Eric Boullier  as team principal. The Enstone-based team had a strong season last year, winning the first race with Kimi Raikkonen and going on to finish fourth in the constructors’ championship. They have also struggled financially, with Lopez saying the team had over $100m of debts while several people have left the team. McLaren revealed its MP4/29 2014 car online at noon today, with a handful of photos of the car shot in the boulevard at the technical centre in Woking but no accompanying soundtrack from the team about the upheaval that has taken place in the management. With speculation rife that Eric Boullier, who quit Lotus this week, will be the new team principal at McLaren, the team did not go into any details.
