I have two pairs of tickets to give away to see the BAFTA award winning film “Senna” on the BFI IMAX screen in London’s Waterloo.

After doing very well at the box office, the film, which has now scooped 17 awards and counting, is doing a very short run at the IMAX: Today – Tuesday 28 February (21:15hrs), Thursday 1 March (21:15hrs) and Sunday 4 March (18:30hrs).

The JA on F1 tickets, courtesy of Universal and the film’s writer Manish Pandey, are for the Thursday 1 March show.

Apologies to readers outside the UK, or who are unable to reach London on Thursday night. We will have plenty of offers and opportunities for you as the year goes on, I’m sure.

To win the tickets all you have to do is tell me, in the comments section below, who you think the three podium finishers will be in Melbourne (in order). I’ll pick two at random from the answers that tally with my prediction – they will win the tickets. We’ll announce the winners at 9am tomorrow (Wednesday).

* So it’s fair for everyone, please make sure before entering that you are able to attend the screening in London on Thursday March 1.

Good luck!

  62. Andrea Bertocco says:

    1st Alonso

Ciao James, have you thought of rewriting your last chapter as the kaiser is now back in formula 1? (I read your book in 3 days… couldn’t stop). Look forward to hearing you commenting the race on BBC (although Rai 1 will miss you too). A

Perhaps the hardest podium to call in recent memory – if not ever and the winner gets the tickets without the podium actually happening! Sacrilege! :-)

For sake of integrity we should come back to this post and give the actual winner some type of T-Shirt declaring his superior F1 skill for entire remainder of 2012. Can you guys imagine if it rains in Melbourne.

The nightmare scenario, This is the likely one that i am fearing :/

  86. Arnold says:

    1. Vettel
    2. Webber
    3. Button

  87. Gareth says:

I wish Webber would bring his A-game but there’s always a stigma with a driver at their home GP – especially Webber.

Maybe he can’t get used to driving upside down?

    Bad Aussie joke.

    Hamilton
    Vettel
    Rosberg

  88. Matt C says:

  96. DAVE Hunt says:

    1. Sebastien Vettel
    2. Jenson Button
    3. Mark Webber.

  97. Ben says:

So, technically the competition is “guess what James Allen thinks the podium will be” rather than “guess what the podium will be” ;)

But I’ll answer the second question rather and hope that it’s also the answer to the first (which I doubt):

    1. Hamilton
    2. Vettel
    3. Button

    1. James Allen says:

Well given that the prize is to be taken this Thursday and the Australian GP isn’t for another two weeks, it kind of has to be really..

      1. Kevin Green says:

hey so this is to guess what your prediction is?? as opposed to what the actual outcome will be on race day! (just clicked on to the dates) so how will we know if your being honest and not just picking your favourite poster’s! :p Got a funny feeling your thinking Vettel Webber Hamilton though!

Anyway I will stick with my selection above notably no one else has picked the same combo/order. Are you going to do a competition based on actual results too??

      2. Ben says:

Oh, I realise that, I was just being pedantic, hence the ;)

  98. Nathen says:

    1. Button
    2. Hamilton
    3. Alonso

I also think we’re going to see a surprise from a midfielders race strategy in Australia again. Possibly from Sauber, like last year on the tyres. My money is on Force India narrowly missing out on a podium, and A Caterham car finishing above a Lotus.

  99. amritraj says:

Hi James – I just bought the DVD for Senna in India, and you are in the best position to help me with my question. I wanted to confirm the movie’s run time. On the DVD I have bought, it’s approximately 101 minutes, but on IMDB, it mentioned as 106 minutes.

I am not sure of the reason behind this difference (I have bought an original, just in case you were wondering :)).

As an aside, been thoroughly enjoying your coverage of the tests.

Best wishes for the season ahead!

    Regards.

It’s a work of art, the hypothetical filming of Seb watching Schumi win his first WDC (by barging Damon) brought a tear to my eye as I have a son of the same age… Wishes eh? )
