He gets strapped into the car and then pulls his gloves over it. The podium drivers put watches on when they are getting towels and drinks - I presume it's because they are sponsored by the watchmaker, but Jarno wears one the whole race. Could it be a superstition? It looks like a very large watch, and I can't see him having a meeting to be at or a bus to catch right after the race.
